Service

The Department of Anaesthesia & Critical Care Medicine provides:
  • Peri-operative care to children undergoing surgical and other interventional procedures at OLHSC (>10,000 cases/annum)
  • Anaesthesia for children undergoing radiotherapy at St. Luke's Hospital
  • Acute pain management
  • Intensive care management (approx. 800 admissions/annum)
  • Training centre for Advanced Paediatric Life Support
  • Department is university-affiliated - approved by College of Anaesthetists for 13 training posts
