Service:

• The Library provides a service for staff and students of Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children.
  
• The Library is located in the Children's Research Centre. It is staffed by two professional librarians and a library assistant.
  
• The Library openings hours during academic term time:
  (October to June) are Monday & Friday 9.30-5.00;
  Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9.30-7.00.
  Summer opening hours:
  (July, August & September) are Monday-Friday 9.30-5.00.
  
• Book/Journal collection consisting of approx 2000 texts and 100 current journal titles.
  
• Services:
  • Extensive Inter Library Loan/Document Delivery Service. We are members of the Irish Healthcare Libraries inter-library loan co-operative. We also obtain journal articles form the British Library, University College Dublin and Trinity College Library.
    
  • Literature/review searching
    
  • Access to a range of online databases e.g.: Pubmed, Cinahl, Web of Science, Cochrane.
    
  • Access to UCD's extensive range of electronic journals e.g.: Science Direct.
• Photocopying
  
• Book loans
  
• Training sessions in database/internet searching skills
