Dublin Football Team Surprise Children
Dublin GAA Football Team took time out of their busy schedule and made a surprise visit to the sick children attending Crumlin Children's Hospital on Friday, 29 July 2005. The players took time talking to the children and their families explaining all about their fitness regime and what it was like to win a Leinster Football title. After signing autographs for the children and their families the players toured the wards with the Delaney Cup. "I would like to thank the Dublin Team for their kindness today. The children were overwhelmed with the surprise which has left a smile on their faces for the weekend, even some children from Laois," said Gerry O'Dwyer, Chief Executive of Crumlin Children's Hospital. The players Paddy Christie, Bryan Cullen, Mossy Quinn, Paul Casey, Stephen Cluxton and Dr Ian Robinson who are all graduates and students of Dublin City University are keen supporters of the hospital and were only too pleased to give joy to our sick children of Ireland.
