Would you like to enhance your knowledge, skills and competence in caring for critically ill children? The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems, University College Dublin in partnership with the Children's University Hospital, Temple Street and Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin, offer a Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Paediatric Critical Care Nursing). The programme commences in September 2007, alternatively it may be taken on a modular basis. The aim of this programme is to enhance the knowledge, skills and competence of nurses caring for children in the critical care environment. The Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Paediatric Critical Care Nursing) consists of six Level 9 modules delivered over one academic year. Four modules focus on caring for critically ill children and two modules explore nursing theory and research. In addition, students will undertake periods of supernumerary clinical placements in the Children's University Hospital and Our Lady's Children's Hospital during the programme.
