INTENSIVE CARE NURSES OPEN DAY

Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

We would like to invite all staff nurses interested in working in the exciting, challenging and dynamic area of Paediatric Intensive Care to visit us at an open day.

If you are a RCN / RGN / RM working in the field of Intensive Care, with or without paediatric or neonatal experience, and would like an opportunity to work in Paediatric Intensive Care Nursing then we would like to meet you!

Our Lady's Children's Hospital has a 21 bedded Intensive Care/HDU and a 5 bedded Transitional Care Unit.

We offer our nursing staff: flexible rostering; dedicated orientation programme; preceptorship programme; opportunity to develop highly specialised nursing skills including haemofiltration and extra corporeal membraneous oxygenation (ECMO); opportunity to undertake the Graduate  Diploma in Nursing (Paediatric Critical Care Nursing) affiliated with UCD; opportunity to undertake a specially designed Foundation Programme in Paediatric Intensive Care Nursing, a continuing education/training programme; development and promotional opportunities; commitment to study leave and Personal Development Planning.

Staff representatives for the Paediatric Intensive Care Units will be there on the 18th April to answer any queries you may have. There will also be poster presentations, a PowerPoint presentation and DVD telling you all about the benefits of working in this tertiary specialist hospital.
